With the type COM-A aseptic tub filling system, miromatic delivers an uncompromising complete concept dedicated to maximum product safety.
As the market leader in the area of fruit yoghurt mixing systems and hygienic filling systems for large plastic tubs in units of 1 – 30 litres, miromatic Michael Rothdach GmbH based in Egg a.d. Günz is setting new standards with the successful commissioning of an aseptic tub filling system.
Currently comprising 60 employees, miromatic is a globally active, medium-sized company that has set itself the goal of providing solution-oriented machinery with the highest levels of hygiene.
As a result, it is only logical that one of the largest European diary concerns has become one of the first customers for the evolved aseptic tub filling system.
With the new series in the COM-Aseptik class, 500 to 1000 plastic tubs can be filled per hour under sterile conditions with a great variety of different critical dairy products in a neutral pH range.
To enable the dairy concern to meet their global customers’ requirements of up to 90 days product shelf-life outside the cooling chain, the complete sterilisation, filling and sealing process is carried out in a sterile tunnel. This enables the packed material to be sterilised with a log rate of 10^6 (per VDMA [German mechanical engineering industry association] with Bacillus subtilis).
The complete machine with sterile tunnel is also available as a 2-track system in accordance with the required performance.
In order to remain flexible in the future too and to be able to react to the rapidly changing market requirements for round, oval or rectangular plastic tubs, the machine is equipped with format parts, which can be interchanged in a few minutes without the need for tools.
This provides customers with a fully flexible filling system with the highest possible production time, over the long term.
After numerous successful sterilisation tests, carried out with renowned international research institutes, the system achieved an impressive 98% efficiency in a final performance trial after seamless commissioning at the customer’s premises.
Constant development:
The company, founded in 1981 by Michael and Edeltraud Rothdach, could only achieve this preliminary high-point in the development of miromatic GmbH, by growing at a continuous and moderate rate throughout the years and by always placing the highest value on training specialists from the region within their own ranks and so continuously deepening and developing their knowledge.
The company’s origins lie in the construction of mixing and dosing systems for fruit yoghurt.
Once miromatic had established itself as the market leader in this area of food production, in 1992 the company began with the construction of the first hygienic tub filling system.
“The objective was, and always has been, to be able to offer the customers added value through maximum system availability in comparison to market competitors,” affirms the management.
To ensure that customers can fully utilise this added value, the company based in Egg has relied on very deep vertical manufacturing integration. As such, over 80% of the mechanical components installed are produced in-house.
“This is the only way to guarantee that we are able to supply our business partners throughout the world with spare parts and special solutions at short notice and with flexibility”, says managing director Helmut Rothdach.
Following the generational change that took place in 2008, Mr Helmut Rothdach is now solely responsible for the management of the company and has created optimised teams in all areas of the company within a level corporate structure. “Our systems are a guarantee for the high product quality for our customers”, says the managing director when explaining the success of the family company.
This is why miromatic is often the first point of contact for businesses in the dairy, delicatessen and food industries when it comes to packaging new products in innovative packaging and under optimum hygiene conditions.
Through the continued further development of the sales team, miromatic will also be able to assert their presence in a rapidly-growing international foodstuffs market in the future.
